1. Who We Are

Citelytics (citelytics.co) is operated by an individual operating in Lithuania (not a registered company). In these Terms, "we," "us," and "our" refer to this individual business; "you" refers to the person or business using the Service.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using citelytics.co (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. What the Service Does

Citelytics scans how AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Claude) respond to questions potential customers might ask about a business, and produces a report showing:

• whether and how often the business is mentioned;
• which competitors are mentioned instead;
• technical factors affecting how well AI systems can read the business's website;
• suggested fixes.

We also offer: public visibility rankings by city and category ("/top" pages); a tool to generate a simple hosted web page ("mini-site") for businesses without a website; and paid monitoring subscriptions that re-run scans periodically.

4. No Guarantees

We do not control how AI assistants respond, and we do not guarantee that any business will be mentioned, ranked, or recommended by any AI system, now or in the future. Our reports measure current visibility and identify fixable technical and content issues; they are not a promise of results. Any statement suggesting a guaranteed outcome, wherever it appears, does not override this section.

5. Accounts

Some features require an account, accessed via a one-time "magic link" sent to your email — we do not use passwords. Keep access to your email secure, as anyone with access to it can access your account.

6. Fees, Payment, and Paddle as Reseller

Paid features (including one-time reports, mini-site publishing, and monitoring subscriptions) are billed through our payment provider, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), acting as Merchant of Record. This means: your purchase is made through Paddle, not directly with us; Paddle collects payment, handles applicable VAT/sales tax, and is your primary contact for billing questions, invoices, and payment disputes. Paddle's own terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) also apply to your purchase.

Prices are shown before purchase. We may change prices for future billing periods with notice.

7. Subscriptions, Cancellation, and Refunds

Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and there are no long-term contracts or early-termination fees. Refund requests are handled by Paddle according to their refund policy.

8. Fair Use of Free Features

Free scans and other free features are rate-limited per visitor to prevent abuse. We may adjust these limits at any time. We may block or restrict access from any source we reasonably believe is abusing the Service.

9. Mini-Sites: Your Content, Your Right to Leave

If you publish a mini-site through Citelytics: you own the business content you provide (text, prices, photos); you may request an export of your published page at any time, including if you cancel; we host the page on a subdomain of citelytics.co unless otherwise agreed. We do not lock you into keeping your content with us.

10. Accuracy of AI-Generated and Third-Party Content

Reports include summaries and quotations of what third-party AI systems actually said. We do not edit or curate this output to make it more favorable; we may only truncate it for length. We do not warrant the accuracy of statements made by third-party AI systems, and we are not responsible for decisions made in reliance on them. Business location and category data may be sourced from Google Places and other public directories and may be incomplete or outdated.

11. Third-Party Services We Use

To provide the Service, we send limited data (such as business name, category, and city — never more than needed) to: OpenAI, Google (Gemini and Places), Anthropic, and Perplexity (to generate scan results); Paddle (payment processing); Resend (transactional email delivery); Cloudflare and Hetzner (hosting and security). 12. Intellectual Property

The Citelytics name, our report format, scoring methodology, and platform design are our property or used under license. This does not affect your rights to your own business content under Section 9.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violation of these Terms, including abuse of free features or attempts to circumvent rate limits or security measures.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date above.
